a woman who hasn't read sylvia plath's "the bell jar". does such a person exist? and will i be able to spot her? will she be the only person smiling in a room full of long faces?
The Bell Jar is the kind of book that your unshaven, unwashed, unkempt female teacher (who only gets by as a female if you squint and concentrate really, really hard) pushes in to your hands. The copy will always be ancient, very well thumbed and smell of damp.
really i just noticed how many blog-gilrs have "the bell jar" listened as one of their favourite books. and i thought i'd have some fun. i actually like the novel.
