the nike store in melbourne has closed. hold your ho-hums. because this means there are no retailers in melbourne, that i am aware of, which carry lance armstrong's "livestrong" bracelets. i wear these less because i care about cancer (a topic seldom pondered) than for the fact that i admire armstrong himself. i don't admire many sportsmen but he is my second favourite. after roy jones junior, naturally.that leaves the internet. where i found a biz which will make "livestrong"-type bracelets of one's own choosing: one decides the colour and text. "here's a laugh," as the fellow said when mr pickwick got into a scuffle with a coachman.
very much doubt i'll be bothered to go through with ordering+payment but my preferred design is a glow-in-the-dark bracelet which reads: "do not revive".

Haha I used to wear a breast cancer awareness bracelet.
They're terribly ugly things aren't they.
I soon realised I could support the cause without sporting such an ugly bangle.

I was indifferent to Lance until I read his (auto)biography. And that changed my mind. He is a total twat. An amazing athlete and cancer survivor lucky enough to have at his disposal techniques, doctors and funds, that others don't have (esp in the US) - that is a given. But he is twat.
As for your slogan... go for "The answer is STILL no".
i don't mind armstrong's twatishness. i also like ty cobb, and he wasn't pleasant at all.
anyway, let that be a lesson to you about reading sports books. sports are sports, and books and books, and (with the exception of cricket & boxing) never the twain should meet.
