was lurking in the backyard tonight with pretty obvious intentions of feasting on a junior brushtail possum i was sharing an apple with (that's him on the left, with his mother). impressive looking bird. but had to shoo it away. possums aren't for eating. everyone knows that.

A mean owl? One with a nasty glint in its eye? I bet Junior would have been a tasty snack. Mama would have no doubt barked at the winged creature had it gotten too close.

Possums? The closest I get in LA is squirrels.
squirrels are good. but marsupials, i think, are better. if you find a raccoon we'll call it even.
You eat Possum? Try chicken... much more satisfying and they don't hang in trees. ;)

My parents have raccoons where they live just outside of LA proper. Does that count?
